| Organic Potash For African Black Soap Making And Agric Potash is what is used to make Alata samina, popularly known as African black soap, Morrocan black soap or oshe dudun. Potash is caustic and can be used to make soap without adding sodium hydroxide or any other form of lye. It produces a mild soap that is documented to help with a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and dandruff. Agric Use - Potash is also used in gardening to increase the alkalinity of soil. Potash is made by a small number of people now in the interior areas of Ghana for both the Ghanaian, Nigerian and world markets so this places a huge demand on its availability. It is only made during the sunny season (dry months which last between Oct and April) . Our potash is made by a co-ops we have trained ourselves in Ghana to produce a high quality product. The co-op is made up of youngmen who previously had no form of employement. This Potash can be used to make the various African black soaps, It can also be added to regular CP or HP formulars as the plants used for making the caustic potash have good skin irritation clearing abilities.
